Snowshoe hike to discover the chamois
Presentation
We will hike, snowshoes at the foot, through wild landscapes, in order to go observe the chamois in their natural environment.
Every Thursday.
We meet in Hauteluce to get by car from our hike (~15 minutes drive). Carpooling to be organized with all the participants.
Level / physical effort: Athletic. Outing for experienced hikers. About 300m of postive elevation gain. 2h30 of walking.
Supervision: The group consists of 4 to 10 people maximum, provided by a qualified mountain guide.
EQUIPMENT FOR THE DAY
Snowshoes and sticks (not provided by the escort)
Pairs of warm shoes suitable for snow
Warm things: fleece, down jacket, gloves, hats
Sunglasses, cap, sunscreen
Waterproof/ Windproof jacket
Warm hiking pants (or with tights)
Gaiters (recommended)
Hiking bag (minimum 30 liters)
Water bottle (minimum 1L)
